What is EIFS Stucco?
EIFS stucco stands for Exterior Insulation and Finish System. Although there is some debate about whether or not EIFS stucco in Calgary should actually be called synthetic stucco, many agree that the term is accurate. The material has been in use since the 1980s, at least by home builders in North America. It started as a material for commercial and industrial building construction before later being used on residential homes.
Calgary EIFS is composed of three layers applied in a six step process.
